Keyless engine start?

Has anyone ever attempted to retrofit a keyless engine start? I was reading about the new A8 with this feature. I think this would be cool to be able to climb in and press a button and go!

I love my A4 but would like to make it unique!!

well first off you have to bypass a lot of circuoits and wires and the a4 isnt really wired for it but there are universal kits out there that you can install in any car..

I think it overrides the alarm settings and the car is not safe anymore. I was about to do it and I backed off.

I wonder if it's possible to use the parts from an existing audi model... A8 perhaps!

i heard its about 100$ at Circuit City to install it, one of my friends had it in his BMW worked pretty good specially in winter time you dont have to get in the car just press a button and it cranks up and warms up and all that good stuff haha......damn we're getting lazy

hahaha yeh but i hate getting in a cold car and waiting for 10 mins before the car finally warms up and im already at the place i was going. It would work so well, but im afraid of losing my alarm. ill have to look more into it
