is there any thing else that i could do with the ko3to give it alot more power instead of having to shell out 1000 bones for the ko4 and software.
i have a 2001 1.8t fwd 5sp and giac, 710n, and k&n. i really want more!!!

The K04 is a nice, reliable, easy to install upgrade and should work wonders on a FWD car. It's doing great on my quattro.

So, on top of $700 for a K04 and chip upgrade ($150), you're way more than $1000! But...there ain't no alternative for the K03 other than to replace it. I was boosting 20+ psi on my GTI with the K03s, but that was with Revo and outside the efficiency range of the turbo (meaning I wasn't seeing that much more power).
