SO i purchased the AWE ko4 kit for my car, and well its not the pc-16 file, and im kinda upset because i figure i should go all out if i can. But i guess im just getting the regular ko4 file. Since i have to send in my ecu, can i just ask for the j-31 file for my car or would that cost more then the 695.00 tahts billed in the kit??
Also,if i get bigger injectors it doesnt matter what size i get as long as they are bigger then stock, because the ecu controls fuel necessity correct?

 

when you purchase the different file, they should tell you what injectors you need, along with fmic and exhaust

im pretty sure the pc16 and j31 are more

 

Yah its like 200 more for pc-16, but j31 wasnt an option and i thought the 200 might just be for injectors and the file the same price as regular ko4 file, thus allowing me to get j31 and purchase injectors on the side. Just dunno if i can get the j31 instead of standard ko4 since i still have to send out the ecu.

 

What chip/flash you can get depends on what your ecu number is. I wanted to get the k04 w/j31 file and inquired about it to find out that there is no k04 file for my "Q box" ecu... Not even a basic file... Which I still find hard to believe.. But I did talk to both GIAC, AWE, and a local tuner and they all said the same thing when i gave them my ecu #.
Do you know your ecu #? What is it? Let us know what happens, Im definately interested to know.

 

Well ive tried to get ahold of both GIAC and AWE to find out if i can get the j31 file instead of the basic when i send in my ecu. No reply yet, but i dont know how you cant get the basic file, becasue they sell the kit for b5's and the 2000 year, and thats what i have. Ill be **** out of luck if they say they cant flash mine because ill have my turbo installed by the time they get my ecu.

 

Does anyone know how much they may have spent on the more aggressive file on the ko4 for giac? Pc-16, J-31, hammer?
