ko4 on tiptronic question

00022 is the code for the "old style" tip shifting which should take away the kickdown function in tip mode. That code is for a USA Quattro model. Or 00024 for fwd. I have been reading that for some this coding doesnt take away kickdown function, in that case you can just disconnect the kickdown switch if you want- but thats a bad idea cuz then it wont even work in regular Drive mode and sometimes you want it to work for passing or getting on the freeway. Could be unsafe to disconnect it.. I dont advise it.

putting ur tip and taking off the kickdown is one thing but the old strategy is more dangerous

Why is that? The kickdown still works with the old style in D mode, just not tip mode.

Bump ejc317... I just went home on luch and did some recoding for old/sport style.. Tell me why old style is a bad idea!!!

I run a Trip and a K04. I havnt had any issues yet with it had it about 3k miles so far so not too long.
