This website says black is harder to target with lasers as black obsorbs colors including infrared.

Even Howstuffworks.com says black is better.

Yes i believe that is true, but the great thing is, is that the cops wouldnt be able to prove that you indeed do have it on your car

they can still see them through the grill it just depends on the cop if he sees it. if the cant see it from the front of the car the device wont scramble the radar or laser. Anyone find out about that one that tells the speed limit? Site? And on mythbuisters they did a bunch of different things to confuse radar including using the paint from the stealth planes and it was still picked up and yes the car was black. without the paint of it.

if you flew by the cop (and they are trained to tell a vehicles speed just by sight) he'd pull you over. keep in mind, they aren't stupid, these guys go through some hardcore training to get where they are. and i wouldn't be surprised if they were trained to find radar diffusers

Panda,

Have you ever seen a show called Mythbusters? They did a whole Radar vs. all sorts of car coat test. They covered the car in tinfoil, hoping that it would reflect radar in all directions therefore the cop would not get the real signal. They used weird rims on the wheels. The had a spinning contraption that was supposed to spit the signal out the other end...they tried different colors...really really solid matte finish against glossy...mirrors...dangling things from the rearview mirror...it is all worthless...only way to speed by a cop at 150 and not get caught is to have your exit about a mile up the road, and hope that you were just pulling away from a big pack of cars so he has trouble pulling out and catching you...
