Default locks and windows

So i got into my car this morning and went to school. Then when i got out and went to lock my car nothing happend...i was annoyed because i had to manuelly lock all the doors. I thought i'd address that problem later. Then on the way home i thought i'd stop and get somethin to eat at the drive thru...Wasn't happenin, the windows wouldnt go down not even the sunroof..

Problems: doors wont lock or unlock electronically and windows wont go up or down.

ok... the windows wont go up and the sunroof wont close when you put the key in the door and turn to lock right?
or, the windows wont go up and the sunroof wont close with the car running and you pressing the button and turning the **** from the inside of the car...

Can you make it clear what the problem is?

If you have an ohmsmeter or mutimeteryou can discconect the wireing harness to the back of the switches and probe the while having someone press on the switches at the other doors, you would want to have them try each door and probe each pin on the driver door as they press the button. First look for fuses blown, then backprobe. If you have no power going to the swiches I would look for a bad ground to the body ecu or a bad body ecu all together.

Sorry, I was a little drunk last night. To test to see if there is power you disconnect the plugs from the lock actuator and window motor (not the switches) and probe each pin on the wire while pressing the buttons for the window and lockto search for voltage with the multi meter, it can also be done with a test light (an ohm meter is for resistance, and you wouldn't need itunless you were checking to see if the motor or acuatorwas bad). If there is no power you could have a bad fuse, bad fusable link ormaxifuse (depending on what was used from the factory), bad ground for the body ECU, or a bad body ECU. Sorry for the bad directions kid.

Let us know if it is the pump thing in the trunk, I have never heard of this but am interested to find out what the problem is. I live for this kind of **** at work but problems like this take an hour or two to diagnose with the car in front of you and a tech support system to help guide you through it. Keep us posted.
