hi,

anyone from northern VA?

I have a 2002 avant ..I bought a key from ebay and i need to have it cut. My dealership, HBL in Tysons doesn't want to cut it.
just checking if anyone have tried it in other dealerships. and how much?

I would call local area locksmiths. One of them is bound to be able to cut it.

 

They dont want to cut it or they can't? Tell them to do it anyway. Might work. I know there is a dealership in Frederick, MD at FSK. Might be out of your way though.

 

That is a mess up dealer. Eh if you want You can send me a spare and your key fob and my dealer will cut it for 10 bucks. Doubt you'd want to do that though.

 

the audi guy told me that they dont cut key coz they dont earn $$$ from it...

no luck, none of the dealers i called want to cut my blank key... =(

eww yeah that would pose a problem. Try calling some locksmiths, i've heard a few of them are able to cut them.
