lowering A4 with 8.5 rims
Guy I want to know how far i can take my A4 down, I just put on 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear, I'm running 245/40's on the front, if i roll the fender, can I drop it without rubbing issues?

RE: lowering A4 with 8.5 rims
I don't know exactly how far you can go without rubbing but you could get away with most spring setups.

I hope your not Quattro with that set-up.

RE: lowering A4 with 8.5 rims
Doesnt matter with the different width tires as long as they are the sane height then he is all set, but get some coil overs and play around with it. adjsutible ride height is exactly what they are made for.

RE: lowering A4 with 8.5 rims
thats what I have on my 18-8.5, I had it as low as 3” off the ground with my bodykit, and u don’t have to worry about wider rear wheel unless you are Quattro.

RE: lowering A4 with 8.5 rims
Dude tire width doesn't matter, its tire height. With tires that wide it'll most likely be rubbing upfront. How about some pics?

RE: lowering A4 with 8.5 rims
Check the offset of the wheels as well.

i hope your car is not quattro... you cannot buy staggerd wheels then.

RE: lowering A4 with 8.5 rims
Well, I guess I'm in luck, my car is a FWD. But really why would different width matter, size I understand because I'm running 245/40 in the front and 265/35 in the rear... anyways, so I'm guessing I'll be ok if I roll the front fenders??? Here's a couple pics:
