Do you live in Germany? Or a place where you will be running the car to its top speed often?

If you live in the US, I doubt you'll get the car up past 200KM/H too often. Who cares what the top speed is, you'll know when you hit it.

If you're running "H" speed rated tires, 130mph is all they're good for.

And honestly how often does your car crap out because you hit the govener. I have a problem with people that get chips just to remove the govener. WTF is the point of doing 150MPH? You aren't impressing anyone a honda civic could do the same. I wouldn't mind seeing how fast I feel comfortable but you are more likely to kill someone else. Some guy recently here in Ontario gunned his viper getting onto the the highway, lost control and smoked some lady and their kids going the other direction. The guy owned the car for literally a day... young guy too.

I am 23 yet I feel like I am 40 writing this post.

What's the point unless you're on a track? Maxing out your car can be a disaster if something goes wrong, not to mention the cop you don't see will nab you. What was your RPM at speed? If you have longer to go in the powerband then yeah, it can go faster, but why take that risk?

Good call.. nobody ever pays attention to the speed ratings on tires it seems like. But like North said, you gotta have a death wish to be going that fast if your not on the track or at least a VERY deserted road in Kansas with unlimited visibility er somethin....

the most i have done is 135 but when i get on the highway i usually hit 110-120 once in a while and drive usually around 75-85, dont see a reason to go much faster.. the fastest i have ever driven a car is 156 top speed in my cararo, and the fasted i have ever gone in a car is 185 in my freinds supercharded saleen.. **** gets scarry arter 150 on our crapy US highways

I've got my car just over 130 but backed off once i got there. I dont see how the car would go much faster seeing that i was a hair off of the red line. I did this on an empty road and i have Z rated tires. It's kind of a ritual to see how fast my cars "can" go after i get them, but rarely ever go that fast in them again.
