mbc, n75h, electronic boost controller?...

I'm just pointing out, then you don't put in a MBC, & crank it up, that there is more to it. If you do, bad things will happen. A K03 is past it's useful range with much over 1bar.

I dont know where the overconservative numbers comes from on this forum, but some people need to branch out of their shell and see what their cars can really do.

Yes at redline. I peak 20psi mid rangeand hold it until maybe 6k rpms and then it fades to around 17-18psi.
I guess theres really not point in going back and fouth without a vag chart or at least a video. So when I figure it out/have the time to take a video ill post it up.

Ill just leave the rest of your dibble alone since this one just kills me! A ko3 at 1bar is nothing. you can run a k03(s) to 20psi daily for many years, people have run chips for years and years running 20-22psi everyday and still have the stock turbo after 120k miles and chipped since 20-30k. If there isnt much power after 14.5psi, why are people picking un 15-20hp from bumping up to 20?

It's not that the turbo will not make more power, it will make more power till it seizes. But there is a sweet spot for turbo's & the K03's is around 1 bar, where it's the most efficient. 1bar is NOT always 14.7, it changes with air temp, air density, barometric pressure & altitude. My point is, you don't add a stand alone MBC, & just crank it up. There is more to it.
Your friends running over 20psi, is that all they have? I highly doubt it, they properly have a chip, DP, maybe a cat delete? That all helps prolong the turbo life. The cat right off the Turbo retains a ton of heat, this in it's self doesn't prolong turbo life @ high boost. I'm not arguing with you that there are power gains, & you can do it. Just that if you do JUST add a MBC & crank it Turbo life will suffer. Even my EVO spikes at almost 2bar, then tappers off to about 1.5 around redline.
If some one wants to donate their 1.8t I will do some logs with boost & AFR & show you what I'm talking about. We can do some timing runs & see what's faster, higher boost alone, or slightly higher boost with Lemi tweaks. Also show what EGT's get up with just pumping more boost with out fuel & tuning.
You STILL NEED TO ADD FUEL WHEN YOU INCREASE BOOST! If you adjust boost with fueling, it's just dumb.

cincytt i still want to know what your running. what are you doing for fuel?

I would still want to log the car & see what the EGT's & O2's are at. Also, you know Lemi is free is you have a Vag-com cable, & lets you play with fuel & timing.
