So I went out last night and there was condensation on my rear view mirror. Didn't think much about it since it was humid and warm last night. This morning I am driving home and the mirror has this green/black moisture dripping from it and the glass itself is distorted like wet glass. WTF!?

but really, im not sure. feel if the mirror is warm and then smell the liquid from it. These mirrors automatically adjust when thelight it hitting them from something behind u as to not blind you, so that is most likley it.

 

Well I figured it was the film that dims but never heard of it melting before. I know its got to be the film because of the color.

 

mine did that so I changed it for a standard mirror, that auto dim is crap and expensive to replace

 

ya dude its just your auto dimming mirror messin up.

 

So this is a fairly common problem? I'll look for a used one but I'll go without a mirror before shelling out $300 for a new replacement.This is bullsh!t! Out of all the cars Ive had with this feature none of them did this.

 

Check your mirror fluid, sounds like its low. try a search on "mirror fluid"
