Default Misfire? HELP PLEASE!

I was driving and I lost most power (still driveable) but very poor.. it pretty much sounds like a helicopter from my exhaust.. I called audi and he said to replace the ignition coils since my CEL was flashing. Well first I replaced the spark plugs, I then ran a tester from the ignition coils to the plugs, I'm getting nothing from cyl 2. so I tried switching that ignition coil with one that was working and still nothing. so I don't think its the ignition coil.. what could it be????

Any help would be great guys I just started school and I'm supposed to drive to baltimore this weekend.. This couldn't have happend at a worst time!

ICM or power output stage that sits on the airbox, has one connector on each side.

2nd that^^^

Very common problem, especially in cyclinder 2 for some reason.
Its a $100-$150 part, very easy to swap out.

I think that was it.. I got a $35 aftermarket part and it hooked right up.. now the check engine light is still on and when i first turn on the car the rpms bounce like 3 times then set.. but it stopped flashing and seems to drive fine.. i was told the light will go off by itself in 150 miles tops.. any feed back?
