Default modding new a4 3.0 avant

Hi, I'm new here and this is our family's first audi. It's a 2005 a4 3.0 avant w/the sport package. Anyways i was a little disappointed with lack of mods for the car, and almost wished we went with the 1.8t instead, but its too late and well yeah... But, after searching I have found some mods that look like winners. I found a chip by neuspeed with very moderate gains but some nice features but with a nice price at $170. I'm gonna get this and a new air filter soon. I also found a cat back exhaust by neuspeed but I have no idea what kind of gains to expect? Can someone give me a good idea for what to expect. And then I was wondering if new sparkplugs and sparkplug groundwires will yield better mpg noticeably or better anything...possibly smoothness? Also i may get a upgraded rear swaybar and a short-shift kit in the future, but right now i'm just wondering about power. So can anybody just comment on what i am looking at now, and also if there are any other cool products i can get for the car that i have not found? Thanks!

Hi MrMatt2532, welcome to the forum. The chip will probably not yield you a great amount of power. Only a few extra horses. There are mixed reviews on 2.8 chips. Overall they really aren't the best bang for the buck (5-6HP). An exhaust will probably add another 10 HP if you are lucky. I seriosly doubt new plugs and wires will help you out, yours are new so perform fine i'm sure. There really aren't many mods out there for you, I would first focus on the suspension.

Yeah, aftermarket suspension is sweet. Makes your car feel 10 times better than the stock sports package.
Take it from another avant owner.

I think i might get that chip anyways, 170 really isn't too bad. But thanks for the quick responses. For the suspension, what do you guys recommend. I was thinking the rear swaybar from neuspeed first, because i am happy with the height and body roll but i do notice a bit of understeer, and then i think my tires need an upgrade before i would get new springs and shocks. Also, for the swaybar, should i go with the one from neuspeed or are there better options out there. I noticed I could get some from LLTEK, and these didn't require soldering and they also offered an upgraded front sway bar. Which do you all recommend? I was also interested in upgrading the pedals for performance reasons, ie heel and toe. I found some from awe-tuning that said they provide a bump out for the accelerator pedal which allows for heel and toe, do any of you know anything about this or if there are other products out there to get? Are there any other bang-for-the-buck upgrades you guys might recommend?

Also, i was looking at buying the chip and other neuspeed products i might buy from greedspeed, is this a reputable company to buy from do you all know? thanks!
