Musty aircon odor?
 

I noticed that whenever I turn on the aircon, a whiff of musty smelling air would come out. Anyone have ideas on how to remove the bad odor?

same thing happens to me, mine smells a little bit like gym socks tho, butit goes away after a little while

Get a new pollen filter.

Maybe clean the vents out? Get a dryer vent cleaning brush, pull of your vent covers, and run the brush down the vents. IDK

Maybe i dont know all i know is it smells like a gym locker and an ash tray for the first 10 seconds and i dont even smoke

Pull out your pollen filter and spray a little Febreeze on it. See if that helps with the odors.

Audi is actually aware of this issue. Has to do with water driping on something from short drives whenAC is on.. blah blah blah so it gets a bad musty odor.

Im pretty sure this only happens on 02 + A4's.

yea i think its common..yesterday i put my a/c on and it was foul for about 2 min..then it cleared right up!
