so i just got new brembo drilled rotors w/ hawk brake pads about a month ago... they squeek LIKE CRAZY, they sounds horrible. I dont know why...they are brand new, what could be the deal..

the braking is great tho, lol

 

Braking is ever nicer when they dont sound like **** believe me i know. Did soak the rotors it cleaning compound?

 

Yeah I have the SAME setup, x-drilled slotted brembos and Hawk pads. Mine squeel... they suck. It just depends on the day, sometimes they do sometimes they don't. Every week when I wash the car I spray them down with break cleaner. I think its the pads, I am not going to go with performance pads next time.

 

Yeah i dont know about hawks... But i always go with a softer pad to prevent squeelage... If they wear down faster and give more brake dust on the rims thats ok cuz i like to wash my car often, and pads are cheap.

 

gaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, im so pissed. its annoying.

 

You should have gone with the Mintex red box brake pads. I've had them for 12k miles and they are WELL worth it.

 

I heard the PBR ceramics don't squeel much or have that annoying break dust problem. Don't know though I havent put em on yet.

low dust, and there is some squeak, but any autoparts store sells "anti squeak goop" which you put in-between the pad and the cylander which is supposed to help alot...

 

ummm stock brakes=no squeak

 

lol yea you should have went with stock its not like you needthe extra your 12v doesnt go fast enough to need the extra ateurv8
