My reaview mirror wont autodim and its starting to annoy me to the point of taking it in somewhere.But wanted to know if maybe I did something stupid because the side mirrors will still autodim, so the sensor still works, and it doesn't appeared damaged at all. Could I have done something to turn it off or is it busted?


Also there is this little flap right in front of the reaview, closer to the windshield, that I have no idea what it does, anyone know?

not sure about the lighting issues...

that little flap is to block the sun that the driver and passenger visors don't.

 

Sounds like your mirror has died. Time for a new one?
