Yeah, thats the ECU, but WHY did you disconnect it in the first place? If you cant drive your car, how did you get the ecu scanned for fault codes? I know you say no codes are coming up, but do you have vag com or a hand held OBDII scanner?

 

When you turn your car to the on position (not started but just on) do you have a CEL light on? Just wondering. If it's not on then your ECU might not be talking to the rest of your car.

i have a scaner and i scand the computer and nothing came up and about he cel light since i have hade the car that so called light has not turnd on

 

I am talking about right now. Normally if you just turn your car's ignition to the on, don't start it, do you have a CEL or Check Engine Light on? If it is then your ECU is talking to the rest of your car. If that light is not on then your ECU is not talking to your car.

how about we start real easy here. Check the fuses. Does the car turn over? Have you verified spark or fuel? Pull a coil out leave it connected stick a screw drive in the tip of the coil (let go of the screwdriver) crank the car see if you have spark.

 

That was the trick for my old car.

ok this is every thing i did first i disconectid the battery then i took the plastic off by the windsheld and then the cover to the ECU and disconectid it so i could get the wiers to hook the BCS up found and located the wiers that the instructions said to hook it up to and conected it all up and plugged the ECU in and hooked the battery back up climed inside the car turnd the car to the on posistion and the green light was blinking so i tried to start the car and it started but it was chuggin and then shut the off unplugged the ECU and un hooked the battery and checked the wiering agin and it was right tried to start it and nothing and then i disconected every thing even the BCS and hooked my car up the way it was and tried to start it and 2 codes poped up and i checked it and the 1st one was the (MAF) and the second was the (TPS) i deleated the codes and tried to start it agin and it just cranks and pumps fuel but no spark so thats when i posted on here for help this BCS worked on my friends 05 GTI and another friends 98 JETTA GLI and killed my car lol
