Went to add some washer fluid and found that I can't open my hood. The hood release works (interior) and the hood pops upand the center pull pops out like normal... butwhen I go to pull the center release, iit seems thehood latch won't fully opento release the hood the rest of the way.

I did a search of the forums for all key words...but it didn't return any hits. Any ideas of what broke? Is there a way to get the hood open by removing the grill? Any and all suggestions appreciated.

looks like your hood release cable is loose get set ofpliers and pull cable little harder or take off your grill off to see what exactly happened there, in some cases you should be able to open hood if you take you grill off.

 

or you can try pulling really really hard, and see if that helps.

 

Mine has that problem too (just happened suddenly). I just pull out on the front of the hood/grille area and it opens up.

 

LOL...that was the first thing I tried. No joy. I pulled it so hard my grill started to pop out.

 

Do you have to do this everytime now???!!!! There wasn't anything "wrong" or that could be fixed????

Dunno...its probably something with the alignment of the hood/latch. For now, I just need both hands and some force to get it open.
