need help with a sub
Problem: I have two rear deck speakers that are 4ohm.. so i bought an amp to power them. But they kinda give cruddy bass (they are infiniti kappas.. so its not the speakers... and the amp is alpine... trust me i know all the numbers and everything.. its allllllll good)
My Idea: I wanted to buy a bigger amp (1200w) that is 4 channel. And then buy a 2x10' sub by Kicker (max 1000w) and bridge that to the 3rd and 4th channel of the 4th channel.
For the rockford fosgate 1200w 4 channel amp.. at 4x4ohms it runs 50w per channel..... but how many will it run at 3x4ohms (considering 1 is bridged).
Here are the links
Kicker Sub
Rockford Amp
Is this a good idea to do.. because I can return that first amp i bought.. and my idea was to set the rear decks to run on hi freq, and the subs to run at either full or low... depending on the quality i'd get.
I was researching that this is the cheapest way for me to get great bass and not have to really replace much by buying new equipment.
Thanks.
