Need a new engine.. anyone got??
Its not repairable?
When you shed the timing belt and bend the valves etc its a few grand to get someone to fix it, but it can be fixed without an engine replacement. I would think that repairing the engine would be cheaper than replacing the whole thing.
BTW, how did you find out the valves are bent, mechanic? Did your timing belt break?

I did see one on graigslist, not a bad price, if I had the money I'd pick it up just to hold on to it.

Had a shop do the water pump and timing belt on the car. Timed it off of only 1 cam and my friend that is a mechanic said that it has bent valves or dropped vavles.
Thanks... just emailed him
Still looking though until I get a response.

the shop defintely has to fix this. they messed up when doing the repair so its their responsibility. contact the BBB and let them know about it and then go to the shop and tell the manager that if he doenst fix it you'll take his *** to court
