im not sure exactly what options were standard and which were optional on the a4's... im still learning here. it has the sports suspension, heated seats, abs, bose system, leatherette (sp?) interior..

the biggest thing for me is that warrenty.. the car does have a little higher milage than most cars that 3 yrs old, but that warranty helps to make it a nice deal.. im going to try to offer the guy 15800 today.. we'll see what he says.. the only problem is that he is asking 17000.. the car bluebooks at 15880.. but he says the warranty is 3k..

I think he might be trying to pull one on you with "$3,000" for the warranty. I just bought a 02 A4 1.8T loaded with a book value of almost $25,000 and I got it for $21,000 w/the 100k mile warranty. I would offer a little UNDER the book value that way when it's all said and done you'll end up at book value because you know he'll negotiate for higher than what you offer. Just my experience. I would NEVER offer more than book value or you're getting the raw end of the deal because obviously it's not even worth that much. I made that mistake about 6 cars ago and ended up-side down.
