Default Need to replace some stuff (need your opinions)

So I took my car to get it checked out today and found out that that some stuff needs to be replaced. I was quoted these prices : Rear rotors at 115 each ( labor included ), brake pads, and CV joint in the rear driver side. The total with labor was going to be around $430. I was thinking I could go buy aftermarket replacements and do it myself. How hard would all of this be and would I have to change all 4 rotors or could I put drilled, slotted in just the back? Need some input here. Thanks.

Would it be worth going aftermarket for rotors and pads? Could I upgrade the rear rotors and pads and not the fronts and still have a safe system?

No need for slotted or crossdrilled rotors unless you are going to track your car.

Brakes and rotors are not hard

sloted/cross drilled rotor are ushally not far off from the original price well that is what I sell them at anyways if it is not much more in your case as well why not it wouldn't hurt

um dont do performance in the back and not the front.

I have mine set up with Drilled/slotted in the front and reg. in the back with mintek all around works very nice.

I also picked up my stuff from ECS tuning and they rock

I found some stuff here. http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/...DI%20A4%202001 and http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/...DI%20A4%202001

Remember I was quoted 115 each rotor with labor. Would I be just fine ordering these rotors/pads for the back and just doing it myself?

^ it makes no sense to do performance in the back when the front is what would need it more.

I also read it someplace and was told by someone

Um I dont think those are for quattro but I could be wrong.

I would still buy the ones from ECS tunning I hear many good things from them and I give them +++ from my own transaction
