Need Some Encouragment.
Ok, After I saw the2001 Audi A4 2.8 was around $ 14999 for a good one. Then I saw a 2001 BMW 740i Sport Package around 15,000 so i was like yeah im BMW.and I was like never mind Audi, but something in me still wanted an A4. I want to have a fast A4. I want it to look nice, I really hated thatchrome grill! but still I can get rid of that, black one. So, yeah.
I want a slick B5 A4, and I really wanted a lound BOV. Is that possible on a stock 1.8T? Can I make the stock turbo off the 1.8T loud? Also I heard the1.8T AWD is slowest.
Maybe Ill look into a B6. Those are newer looking and the B5 already looks old stock, unless you do something. Its a fact, when I see one It just looks old. So?

$15000 for an 01. What kinda of miles did it have on it? Seems for that price you could get a B5 S4 (i could be wrong).
Anyway to answer your questions... you can make a 1.8T sounds a bit louder, but it wouldn't be with a BOV (I'll let someone else fully explain why)... but you can get an upgraded DV valve, or a Forge Splitter Valve (hybrid) which will give you more of a "swishhhh" sound.
I think you need to do a bit more research and decide what you really want. A 7 series bmw isn't in the same ball park as an A4. Two totally different types of cars.
As for being slow, they are what they are. 1.8T 2001 has 170 HP. With that said, they are easily moded. A chip a lone will give you an extra 35-40 HP. Stock a B6 3.0 does have more HP then the 1.8T, but it is very limited as to what you can do. I believe its 220 HP (someone correct me if i'm wrong). But you will be pretty much stuck at 220.
My suggestion is to do some research and do some searching around the boards (audi and bmw) and figure out what you really want.

Audi. More sex appeal as for the 3.0 its not fast but its quick. Ithas ***** in the mid and high range that will make up for its otherwise slow take off. The AWD dose drag it down a little bit but its worth it in every way take it for a drive and that BMW will be nothing more then a paper weight.

But anyways, was it necessary to call the guy a retard? You could use the search function and find tons of other people who dont know what car to buy, but most of them dont compare cars in two totally different size classes.
A4 = mid size saloon vs 740 = yacht
Search on this forum for mod options, and go search on Bimmerforums for mod options on the 740...Go drive both and figure out which on suits your tastes better and make your own decision, its your money.
