New to Audi, I need some opinions!

Hello-

Im new to Audi (America muscle car guy) and I'm looking at a 2006 A4.
I like the the top of the line 3.2 but I am concerned about the chips and tweaks that are availabe to the 2.0 might make a better deal for the price?

My question is, are there more options for tweaking the HPs for the 2.0 than the 3.2?

Also for the money can I get the 2.0 even close the performace of the 3.2?

Thanks,

GH

Dude, your buying an 06. there isn't gonna be much for AWHILE. if your not concerned about $$ then get the 3.2 and boost it. it's the same motor that is in the vw R32 i believe. they have turbo and supercharger kits for them that will blow the doors of just about anything, but they are $$$ . the 2.0t is BRAND NEW and i don't know much about it, but 1.8t's make some SERIOUS power and don't weigh too much, which is a big plus.
It's just preference. the 3.2 will have more scoot, but isn't as nimble as the 2.0t. they are fat a$$ cars to begin with anyway. I believe they are around 3700 lbs.. FAT BOYZ

Hey and welcome to the forums.
I would suggest getting the 2.0T and chipping it with APR's 93 octane , then adding an exhaust.
That will put you with more power then the 3.2. Not to mention the 3.2's wont have a manual tranny for about 6 months( a guess) .

There wont be any big turbo upgrades out for quite some time. But it will be worth the wait.
The turbo will also have a much more sporty feel to it then the N/A 3.2.
Hope that helps.

Welcome to the forums, i got own a 98 2.8 and buying that i knew i would not be able to buy many preformance parts for it in stead of the 1.8 so i would suggest getting the 2.0 t instead of the 3.2.

I'm thinking of getting a 06' 2.0T as well and was wondering the samething. But you guys answered the question all ready.

If you do get a chip and upgrade the intake and exhaust, doesn't that void the warranty?

Guys,
Thanks for the feedback.
I picked up a Blk on Blk 2.0 T, S series last night.
It was raining when I left the dealer and I blasted the ride up to about 125 on the way home, damn!

They guy at the dealer told me I could chip it but I would have to "turn it off" when I brought it in for service.
This seems real sketchy and I'm not sure what he means.

So, 93 Octane is the ay to go for chips?

Awesome man. You got my fav color combo and the S-line is so nice. Congrats.
Definitly chip your new car. I would go with the APR chip.I would Get the 93 octane program, and the 'flipswitch' which allows you to switch it back to stock with the cruise control. Perfect for trips into the dealer. They wont know a thing, and you will be loving the new found power. I have APR on my 03 and its great.
Hope that answers you too JBlake. I would NOT touch the intake. No need , you wont benifit from it. The stock CIA is good enough. Exhaust should'nt void either.

:D
