I have a new symbol that showed up on my instrument panel. It shows the outline of the car (like if a door was open) with the gas symbol. This comes on each time I start my car. I can switch to display mpg and such. What is this symbol and is it urgent?

 

I was driving it and it started to raise in tempature, it got pretty high and I pulled over at a mechanic shop. They didn't work on audis and didn't know what to do. I noticed that the water pump still has liquid in it. Oil is good. Fans were not on unless I turned on air conditioner. Once I turned on the air conditioner it the tempature lowered while I was at idle but not at the standard tempature. What could it be? It is in great condition and did not expect this... I don't want to drive it and blow the engine so I parked it...

 

in engine management warning light has lit and the coil light is blinking, please help

 

The triangle is the Electronic Stabilization Program light, I dont know what the implications are for that light. My 2003 a4 wont drive forward and I am trying to diagnose, but mine has that triangle light and no OBD2 codes.

My daughter just bought a Used 2004 A4 and I'm curious what the diagnostics on the instrument cluster should look like on normal start up? Should it be displaying yellow symbols as it runs a diagnostic or are they indications of something wrong?
