Nonono you misunderstood ME.

I don't care if you go K04, Garret, etc. my point was that an S4 is probably cheaper to get to 380WHP than a 2.8 A4 is. Sure, your idea is even cheaper than a Garret or so. Point is, a 2.8 A4 is not my choice of vehicle to obtain 380 WHP. Gold star for you!

well the reason i got the A4 is because i got a very good deal on it... i trade my Chevy Tracker plus $500 for the audi. as we speak we r doing putting a new engine in the car. the only thing wrong with the car is that the engine was messed up.

Not trying to be silly, but if you got a good deal and "$500"- and you consider that to be a lot- then unfortunately I have bad news. $500 will get you 1/4 of a K04. You'd probably be spending waaaay over $10,000 to get to your goal- I read a post on another forum about a guy putting a dual turbo kit on his Passat. He was an Audi tuner and still the parts ALONE cost way over $10,000. Not to mention if you don't know what you're doing your car will be unreliable and suck. Your car is unmoddable. Unless you're willing to spend twice the amount you bought your car for. I had an Eclipse GST, those are meant for speed. Sell the Audi and if speed is what you want go with that. Most people here didn't buy their Audis to run at 400 WHP.

"just"? The supercharger will cost you well over $5,000. I don't know exactly but my guess would be the 2.8 makes maybe 150-160 WHP. After, I don't know.

Just get a civic

If you want to go fast for cheap... Buy a 1991 DSM AWD Automatic... RS Laser AWD, Eclipse GS-X, Talon TSi AWD, it doesn't really matter, they're all the same.

Send the transmission to Shep Racing, have the race build performed. Put on some AGX-8s, and Hoosier slicks on the stock wheels all the way around. Do the following modifications to the engine:

-Cometic/Mitsubishi 4-Layer Head Gasket
-ARP Head Studs
-HKS 272/264 Camshafts
-Port and Polish Exhaust/Intake
-Port Match IM
-2G Exhaust Manifold Port Matched
-20G Turbocharger
-TiAL 42mm Wastegate
-3" Downpipe-3" Exhaust
-GM MAF with Translator
-Slow-Boy Racing FMIC (Don't cheap out on your Intercooler... You'll be blowing end tanks every other day)
-DSM Link/AEM EMS or an S-AFCII and adjust timing manually
-850cc-1,000 Injectors
-Walbro 255 FP
-Aeromotive FPR with -6an SS lines
-3,500 Stall Torque Converter
-TiAL 50mm BOV

You can pull all of that off for about $4,000 including the car... Not to mention be running 11-10 second passes easily. What's good about DSM engines (6-Bolt engines that came in the 1G DSMs) is they can take 40psi on stock internals. I'm not kidding at all, those engines are bullet proof up past that point. I personally have three friends that are running 42psi on stock engines, that are deep into the 10 second passes, and one that is running 9 second passes now.

So that's something to think about. I say keep your Audi stock, and buy a DSM to go fast in. That's my opinion.

See my signature? That's what I did, it makes life much easier when you're not seriously modifying your daily driver.

I think you should leave your car stock to drive daily/cruise/pull ***... And buy another car to modify/race. That's just my personal opinion.

That's all well and good if you have the room for multiple cars...
