New Guy
Just wanted to let everyone know i am a new member who just bought a 5-speed 1999.5 A4 1.8T. It is my first car and i am 17. If I ask any stupid questions please forgive me. Like i said it is my first car so ANY advise you guys would like to throw my way would be appreciated. Also, dont worry I know DV not BOV

im not too sure yet about what mods i want to do yet. i just bought the car and right now im at $0 so i got some time to think about it. but after seachin around in the forums it looks like a chip should be my first move with a DV. if you guys have any ideas or advise please let me know.

Welcome to the Froum! Great choice for a first car.
Regarding chipping: My opinion is the same...chip is best first mod, w/ DV. Seems like many B5ers like GIAC. Best bet is to find a local mod-shop that you can build a relationship with. Chip & DV gonna cost you $500 - $600.
