new guy - springs-5 or 6 spd for avant???
hey guys i am in the midst of selling my 3 series and going to the all wheel world. i have two options on the table.
dark grey 02 1.8t 5 spd pretty much stock I would just do chip, rims, lowered - sport suspension or aftermarket (coil vs spring?)
dark blue 04 1.8t 6 spd fully loaded even the power seats with moving lumbar so sweet comes with sports suspension and decent looking 17's would still want to go 18 should i bother?
what would you guys suggest?? the 04 is priced about 8k more. by the time i finish with a suspension on the 02 would i be up there in price anyway? is there much difference from the 5spd to 6? i currently have a 3 series with 18's and sport suspension and love it looks perfect and drives great.
i have read through your threads but none really address the avant factor?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
fyi i have a 100lb bulldog that needs the wagon...

RE: new guy - springs-5 or 6 spd for avant???
there are so many but for us B6s alot of people are running TEIN
but theres also KW, B&G, Bilstein, H&R, Vogtland , so many out there
but TEIN seems to have the most value cause u can get the
TEIN baisics for 756.50
or the TEIN SuperStreet for $1,062.50

RE: new guy - 5 or 6 spd ???
thanks for the reply i will defintely look into Tein....
is there a major difference in the 5 spd or 6 spd? i am about to close the deal this Friday not sure if i should just pony up now and go with the 6 spd and sports suspension. any one know the differences here?
and does going avant play a factor in these specs?
thanks in advance,
