M5Racer...your sig kicks ***! Did you photoshop it yourself? I'm assuming to the left of your car is a fake brick wall that was created? Nice man, looks great.

yes that is exactly true giac is more torquy and apr has more high end. here is a compairson of good/bad between the two (remember my ecu is still adjustingwith apr)

GIAC: great power in lower end and mid range. High end about 5000 rpm there is a real lack of power and the car seamed to die out. also i found giac a little two agressive for me. with the giac i was boosting with spikes of 21-25psi and settled down at 18psi. with GIAC i had mroe of a (pull you back in your seat and hold on while accelrating but dies top end)
APR. great power all round espeically top end. once you hit boost the car doesent show any sighne of power loss topend. the car actually pulls harder top end then giac. there is a little less power low end but the car is still adjusting and is a little jerky here and there. this chip boosts and spikes around 16-18psi and holds steady at 15psi. also the fact that i can choose between stock, 91 and 94 with cruse control is the greatest

i find that GIAC is jsut crazy power and torque low and mid end but dies top end. apr is much smoother and is strong all round the rpm's especially in high end.

In the end im very happy with the apr chip (still have to do some highway pulls tonite to see how it does there) i like it better then giac beucase i feel as if its going to cause less dammage long run beucase it is less agressive and it is also smoother power that is delivered more evenly instead of all at once.

so
GIAC: people who want Agressive torque low middle range (power is less smoth but there might be a little more power or "pull"
Apr: less agressive then giac smother power all around and better high end power

M5Racer...did you just send your GIAC chip back in to be modified again to APR? Just curious as to how that works...and do you think it's bad for your car to change the chip twice?

I'll be getting an APR in a couple months or so...can't wait...

ive driven a b5 with apr and i agree 100% with m5racer's comparison. GIAC does sort of lose its ***** past 5k rpms, and is ***** to the wall bellow that. I find GIAC more "useful" or "entertaining" for city driving where rpms are low to mid range. I found that with APR I had to keep the rpm's pretty high to get similar effects. But apr is definately more smooth and the power is more evenly spread out. Sometimes its hard to find the happy middle power range with giac between conservative and very aggressive. In the end though, max power output/0-60/1/4 mile times they are about equal. If I had another 1.8t Id get APR just for variation, I have nothing against it. But I still always recomend GIAC to people just based on my own biased personal oppinion
