that's a great critique of the 2 chips. although I haven't driven apr, i know exactly what you mean about giac having too much power delivered at once..it's dangerous. I wish I had gotten apr now, but I have a k04 in

 

haah... I dont know about that.... I have never found my self in a dangerous situation due to the power giac delivers. Thats pretty funny.
Im thinking if you find yourself in a dangerous situation, it because of driver error, not hardware or softaware.

 

lol well whenever I sneeze, i lose all mobility.. it's quite violent. and if my turbo happens to be done spooling up, the car tries to find the nearest kid in the neighborhood to hit.. that's my fear anway

Do you have surging? if you are using the stock N75 valve, Id recomend swithcing to an H valve or MBC. Either one would really smooth out boost and eliminate surging if that is what you are trying to explain.

 

you have an upgraded turbo and your complaining about too much power? or are you saying that it "tops out" to quickly even with the k04?

 

anyone know how good a Neuspeed chip is?

 

Most people will say it sucks.. Back when only 1 bar chips were available they did suck. No one here seems to have any experience with the 1.2bar or whatever their latest chip is.

 

the only reason i have an upgraded turbo is because my stock turbo was broken and my local tuner said the k04 would be cheaper than an oem k03

 

what is an MBC? and is the H valve the n75H? I did not know that the "surging" was an issue that could be resolved.

 

If you have a giac k03 chip on a k04 turbo then i would first get the giac k04 chip and see what happens, you SHOULD be using that anyway.. Maybe you are?. An mbc is a manual boost controller.. and ya i mean the n75 H.
