So, I learned today at the GTG that before I start any serious modding I should replace the timing belt and water pump on my B6 1.8T Quattro A4.

Where can I get the following parts + labor done for the cheapest?
Is it possible for someone with moderate/fair knowledge of cars but no experience with Audis to do the install themselves?

search our forums & audiworld for install tips (DIY) & I know our sponsors may carry the parts (kits)
& if u decide to have someone else do it (I'd recommend that = warranty etc.)
look for indie mechanics in ur area...

 

It can be done by DIYers with the proper instructions, or a good mechanic. aParts run about 300 dollars. Labour about 350-600 depending on locale.
