Hi, I'm new and in need of some serious help. Here's what's up-

I have a late 99 2.8 Audi A4. I have been having some minor issues with the alarm. Sometimes it would go off at random. The last time
I had problems was about two weeks ago (the last time I drove it). I would lock the car and I would hear the same clicking noise as though it was locking over and over(in the rear right of the car). Then eventually my intiror lights would go on and off. Then my alarm would go off. I got so pissed I bought a beater and have not touched my car in about two weeks. So today I went to start it and. . ****!I cant get into my car AT ALL. My keyless entry does not work, along with the key not working either. I had an aftermarket LED installed on the dash and I know the car is totally dead because now it's off. I'm sure it had nothing 2 do with the LED because I have had it for about a year and a half now. I dont even have a way 2 pop the hood because I cant get into my damn car. I really dont know much about cars. . . and I have this strange feeling that this is going cost me a good chunk of my checking account..

Did you try calling AAA so that you could pop the hood.

 

why doesnt the key work?

 

Locks dont open even if you put the key in the door and turn? I dont believe it requires power to do this, I could be wrong though

 

The door should unlock manually without power

Try getting in thru the trunk?

Sounds like your central lock pump and system is blown

 

Your car is probably rebelling against those wheels....

The key is going to be really stiff in the door, are you turning it hard enough?

What a wonderful idea. And, where is one to go if they get the trunk open? Magically go through the back seats that have a handle on the inside of the passenger compartment to fold down?

Hey thanks for the advice. The key does not unlock the lock at all. I turned pretty hard. .

Any idea of how much this is going to cost me?

try the pass side door, when my power dies my pass works but my driver side doesnt

 

He has a late 99 (assuming 99.5) we only have two locks... one on the drivers door, and one on the trunk.
