noise coming from pass. rear side-gets louder while driving...?
i have a 96 a4 quatro 2.8 and there is a noise coming from my passenger side rear tire... it gets louder as i drive, it is very loud in the car past 80... what could it be??? n e 1 help...

Does the noise get smaller when you turn left or right? if so it has to be wheel bearing.
Get a wheel bearing on ecs tuning and replace it yourself or take it to a shop.
the book says it's a 2.7 hrs job for front wheel bearing and 2 hrs job for rear wheel bearing and depends on the labor rate, you do the math.
If you can't afford to get it fixedat this moment, dn't worry about it.you can drive with it for a while it wouldn't be too dangerous just the noise is really annoying. i drove with a broken wheel bearing for a year without any problem for the car except i lost a bit of hearing....
