Nooooo
So it was pretty snowy the other day on the way to work and it was a double turn lane and this retard in his big F350 slides into me! Not a lot...just enough to give the Audi a boo boo lol It was weird, his rear end actually hit my front end. Anyway, it's not too bad so he just gave me 200 bucks and we went our separate ways, but I have to replace the towing eyehole cover, passenger side lower grill piece, and paint a pretty bad mark left on the bumper :( I think I'll be ok justdoing all that myself though. I ordered a can of paint and clear coat through the dealer, any tips on anything? Here's a pic of the damage and just some other pics of the Audi in the snow :)

RE: Nooooo
Man, I think $200 would be what it took for me to even discuss taking cash. I hope that will cover it. If not, chalk it up as doing a good deed at Christmas. Sorry for the car.

RE: Nooooo
Yeah he should have paid for a new bumper IMO!!!! which is like $600! Fukin asshole!!
|
RE: Nooooo
Well the towing eyehole cover was 35, the paint was 10, and the grill piece was 37. After I'm done with it it should look like nothing even happened so I think I'm alright...

Got snow? |
RE: Nooooo
dude 200 isn't even close to being enough unless you DIY. replacing the cover is nothing but that bumper needs bondo and a new paint job. that lower piece needs to be replaced or you can replace it with steel mesh. that lower piece from the dealer is about 200 bux lol. well you can always upgrade the lower piece. there's a company that makes a rly nice lower lip for the b6. do a search, i don't remember that name

RE: Nooooo
yeah, good thing your diy because if not you got screwed:)
|
RE: Nooooo
No no, the lower grill piece was 37 bux from the dealer. I already bought all the stuff guys and I can do it myself and make it look like nothing almost happened. And alright I was pretty flustered at the time so I wasn't thinking really well, but I think I'm alright.

RE: Nooooo
Do you have any experience with repainting? Did you get a touch-up pen or a spray can?
