For those of us B6 owners, what is your rpm at when you start the car up cold? For some reason, mine doesn't seem right. It idles at 1100 rpm when I first start it up. Should it be higher than this? Let me know what your 1.8T is idling at when you first start it up.

 

That's fine. It should start off around that and then drop off to around 750-800 in a minute or two. It's a emmissions thing.

 

Cool, that works or me. I didn't know if it should be any higher or not. It seemed like it wanted to go higher, but it wouldjust go right to 1100 rpm. It would first jump to 1200 rpm for like a sec and then drop right to 1100 rpm. As long as it's running ok, I'm fine with it.
