OBD Generic vs. VAG
I was thinking of getting a code reader for my car.
I posted on Audiworld someone said a generic one wont work/help at all.
ACTRON OBD II CP9135 vs VAG-COM
Will it read codes correctly of my car (ACTRON OBD II CP9135)

RE: OBD Generic vs. VAG
Because USB dongles do not limit the baud rate at which data is transmitted to the obd cable like a serial port. You may not be able to access all controllers or any at all. There really is no good substitute for the real deal. IE: Rosstech hardware/software. They have awesome customer service and support to boot. Hate to sound like a commercial, but i've NEVER heard of a complaint about them.
