Odd Little Button

Default Odd Little Button

I found this little button on the drivers side pillar next to the seat on my A4, can anyone tell me what the purpose of this button is.

That button disables the security sytem. It is good to use if you want to leave the windows partly down but still lock the car. That way the wind won't set off the alarm. It's in your manual (if you have one).
