Oil level low - light
I have a 2001 audi a4 trip with 55,000 miles. I recently had my oil level (min) light come on. I checked the oil level using the dipstick and the oil level is fine. Got an oil changed and yet the oil level light is still on.
The dealership said something about replacing the sending unit, which will cost 200.00. Has anyone had this problem and have changed the sending unit. If so where should i get it from and how hard is it replace it?
Thanks.

If the light is for oil pressure have it fixed pronto. If it is for oil level, check with your dipstick and look for an independent mechanic.

its not the oil pressure...its the oil level. Even though the oil level is fine the light is still on. Right now there is no problem with the car...just the sensor needs to be replaced. I am trying to find out if anyone has had this problem worked on thier car before?
