Ok well, this weekend i played hide and seek with my car for its boost leak which i knew i had but was told i didnt... well i found it... attacted to the intake manifold below the uptube from the IC is a rubber hose with an L bend coming out of the intake manifold... on the other end of that rubber tube was about a 3/4" rip in the tube... i ordered a new hose and ductaped the current one for the time being (im not boosting at all... keeping the engine running mostly in vaccuum besides the occasional 0 on the boost guage) anyways... theres oil misting/spattering out of this line... this worries me, is this normal? or do i have a much larger problem

i have a service in 14 days... the first service since being chipped... i switched back to stock mode for the time being but im worried with this oil coming in through the manifold that im bound to throw codes and the dealer will **** me over...

 

Try to move up the service.

 

so im guessing that oil coming out of the vac line = bad

...someone told me that because its a turbo car that there will always be alittly oil in the vac lines etc. and if you take off the up tobe it will be coated in oil on the inside becuase of the turbo... is there any truth to this?

 

It is common and normal to have some oil in that line. As long as it is not dripping a crap load of oil you are fine.

 

alright that makes me feel better... now to just get this vac line repaired and to clean the engine of any sign of oil mist on the manifold

... oh, you think that a 3/4" tear in a vacline could cause me to be running at a peak of 14 and settle at 12 psi?
