so i smelled a little oil burning, the car is 8 years old, and i am shure that after the mods some of the gaskets need to be replaced..
with that said , i cleaned the engine, as to find where the leak is..(there was alot of old bult up stuff)

so, this is the strange part, THE CAR RUNS BETTER ????
not like i think is......IT IS. i am breaking the wheels, when boost hits in 1st...

the intercooler looked dirty, 8 years of road dirt. so i hit it hevy with the cleaner and i hit the turbo hevy too..

i have not done work on the turbo, yet, so i am not too up on all of it's parts.
could have there been some gunk buld up on an external part?? that held the wastgate from opening????
or could the intercoller been realy cloged up???

just do a clean up then see how it goes

 

I dont get it.. how exactly did you clean it?

 

clean all the internals because oil residue builds up an makes thing stick hence lack of power and functions of servos which is the heart of the system

 

i cleaned it external with gunk, and water....

has anyone, used an internal sludge remover...a long time ago, i heard that that stuff could kill a turbo...those were the dayd the buick t-type just came out...

well, he said he cleaned the intercooler.

If it was real dirty, the air is getting a lot cooler than it was, cooler air = more air in same space = more power.

 

sometimes i wonder if you are actually reading the same posts as everyone else..
