Yea the elims suck, i have had mine for coming up on 2 years in august and no problems. The only thing that sucks about my kit is the mika tuning, it runs so damn rich, but at the time it was the only s/w option. And if you dont mind me asking how do the blades damage easily if its run with a filter. Also, there are more elim users than a full 28rs or 2871r so yea there is gonna be more failures. Also i do agree that the housing flow is not as good as a full kit but it doesn't suck.

so who makes tuning for the gt2871r? or will i have to go custom? and also wut else do i need to buy besides the hardware kit? i got a stage 3 clutch, fmic, exhuast, and dv. i just need tuning, rods(maybe), and injectors right? or will i need a new fpr?

fmic, exhuast, and dv - all needed
i just need tuning - Revo 440 file Unitronics 630 file, or Giac has a new gt2871r .86 file (not sure if its ready for a4's yet.

and injectors right? matching size for the programming 440, 550, 630 (geneis or semiens)

sorry for all the questions but this is helping out a lot. wuts the difference in lag between the .64 and .86? since this is gona be a street driven car i dont want the turbo to have too much lag.
