Default Ongoing issues - ABS & Air Bag Lights

My girlfriend has the '99 Audi A4 Quatro. Currenly, we have two issues.
1. Air Bag light stays on all of the time. We've told that it's the passenger side air bag. It supposedly has "too much pressure".
2. The ABS comes on alot. When the ABS light comes on, the Brake light flashes.

I've personally owned and worked on Mercedes all my life. I shouldn't have any problems with other German cars...

Please let me know what else I can check...

Thanks Again,
Chuck

Get a Vag-Com and scan the car for the fault codes.

I have a Demo version of Vag-Com. What should I be looking for? I am not that familiar with this software. It didn't look that intuitive.

Just hook up the cable and run an auto scan. An ABS light and an airbag light alone will help us to diagnose your problem. Any number of things could cause those.

I just had this problem last night. On the way home from Cedar Point.. Except the air bag light came on, went off about a half hour later, came back on, and then my flashing brake symbol started flashing. Everything felt fine. The only thing is that when i first started the car and backed out of the parking spot, the brakes felt weak for a couple seconds. That went away right away ans the lights started flashing about 15 mins later. This morning i started it and had no problems even on a 2.5 hour trip home from the inlaws. Im only slightly pissed.
