i just read my post and the instructions are confusing even me so, you turn the car on engine off, press and hold gas pedal, turn car off, wait like 5 seconds or till u hear a click, then turn car off. let me know if that was it

my buddies car did the same thing after i told him what left foot braking was and he started doing it around every corner he could find, he even turned a few times just to do it. anyways after that his speedometer fucked up for a while then his tranny lit up.
Deno ...
Im still a little confused about the directions..can u do a step by step? I tried the turn the ignition on but not started hold the gas down then turn the ignition off.. but nothing happened?
My buddy with a vag came by and he read the engine..no codes also he could not read the transmission from the vag com ... he said that was really wierd and he should be able to..
does this help diagnose anymore?? David or 1.8Tee where are you??

the vag should have worked, if the car is in limp mode you can drive it a little just wouldnt do it much... Anything really tranny related Id let a shop figure out theres just too much there that you can mess up
RE: Paging the Moderaters! HELP!!!! I THINK BIG PROBLEM!!
Does your friend have a real vagcom? If he is unable to connect to the TCU it may be the TCU is dead or has a connection problem with the ECU. Take it to a garage that specializes in Audi as mis diagnoses can get expensive.
David..Badluck..1.8T... or anyone else I found out that its 9.5/10 the Multifunction switch on the tranny
There is a guy parting out local and I need help removing his and installing it on mine

i looked for the thread that i read that solved my tranny problem but i cant find it, anyway i found the directions for a throttle body adaptation, its exactly what i did for mytranny proband it worked, try it
"The Throttle is "Drive By Wire" and adapts to your particular driving style. Do a TBA Throttle body adaption).
1. Get in your car, it doesn't matter if you close the door or not.
2. Turn the key to the on position, the position just before the starter turns over.
3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.
4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back to the "off" position(don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
5. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment. During this time you may hear very faint noises and clicks. I
only heard one sitting in my car, if I got out and popped the hood I might hear more.
6. Drive the car as you always do.
Depending on your driving style, this may or may not be a big factor. I do a lot of city driving so
I noticed a big change after erasing my history. It is not hard to do this, just follow the
instructions - Key on, pedal down, 5 sec, key off pedal up, wait 2 minutes.
Keep the key in for the entire thing. "
