Well I was told that my paint code was in around the spare tire but it looks like the ******* before me who had the car ripped it off, does anyone know where else the paint code is located on a 2001 black 1.8 or know what the paint code may be?

if you have the owners manuel there is usually a sticker in there, the code starts with an L and is 4 digits

if you give me an idea of what color your car is i may be able to help you.

It is black, did they make more than one color of black in 2001?

Is there any way I can figure out which black it is? I don't believe it is a pearl if that helps.

He said BLACK. Just call a dealer, tell them your year and the color, thats would be easy.
