Is there an online source of part numbers? specifically someplace I can search by picture and get a number?

vagcat.com is what I use - kinda hard to use but the only resource I know of

 

I usually go to the online part store something like http://www.autohausaz.com search for the part I need and I believe lots of online stores will have original audi part #, or you cal always buy good repair manual (something like Bentley Publishers offers) for easy to find part #s.

 

eurocarparts type that into your search engine and follow the on screen instructions for your car ( it lists the part numbers as well as the cost ) mainly for the euro market but the part numbers are useful
