RE: Pic of height difference between 245/30/20 vs 235/45/17
I couldn't reply right away as I was too busy tracking my car this weekend.
I screwed up on the 0.30" part as that was the figure I got when I compared it to the 235/35/19 setup I used to have.
The picture above is crooked because I took it crooked. The gap shown is about 0.6" when I measured it.
In any case the issue I originally had was with the 0.30" reading. I thought if it is only that much higher if I set the coilovers to that extra height then the 20s should clear. NOT!
My original ride height with 19s was 25.0" all around. Now I have to be about 26" all around just to avoid having the tire kiss the inside of the fender lip.
I'm also suspecting the 245 wide tire and might try a 235 wide one next time round.
