Default Piggyback success stories, anyone!!

Wanted to know if anyone has had success using a piggyback of anykind. This weekend hope to have Upsolute rechip my 1997 Audi A4 with stock set up to the higher boost chip. Thing is I will be upgrading exhaust, injectors, and turbo down the road and don't want to buy new chips at every change. Was thinking that by having the basic higher tune I could then use a piggyback to taylor it to other mods. Don't really want to go standalone as I have understood that the many systems in the A4 run off or alone with the factory ecu. If this is incorrect I would like to know that too. Thanks

PS I do have a LM1 wideband system to help tune.

I did searchhhhh...... What I am asking is if anybody has used a piggyback to fine tune a chipped ecu not a stock one. I may not want to build the same set up as everyone else. Have spoke with several chip companies and they all say they can build a custom tune with a data log, after shipping the ecu back and fourth several times I'll bet.A couple of companies use removable eproms but then other companies say thiswill lead to problems. Have built Porsche turbos starting with a chipped ecu and then used piggy back to fine tune.

i dont know of anyone thats done that

you would probably spend more in dyno time and tuning time then you would with progressive software for your upgrades

i really think standalone would be worthwhile in your situation

I have the greddy E-01 and I'm going to be getting E-Manage with my t3t4 kit I'll let you know how it comes out but its Still about 1k for the E-01 and E-Manage so expect to spend some money. I have a friend that usually does srt's with emanage and he is going to tune the car with the Emanage and Map it for me and he said it will take several hours and he told me $300 plus you will still need some type of tuning platform to work off of. Remember this isnt a Honda so anything you do is going to be trial and error seeing that very very few people are going this route.

034 EFI

All they do all day is make software and hardware for Audis and VW's. They have fuel only programming with the 1a ECU, fuel and ignition with the 1b ECU, and ***** out kick assness with the 1c ECU.

Be sure to read up on the last updates on the C series ECU's HERE. You may be very interested in the section about using wideband O2 gauges with signal outputs that plug directly into the ECU.

They made it that kick ***.

Thanks for the input. Think I am going to do a K24 conversion. Always have to do it differently. Would consider a t3/t4 as I have used on a 2.3 Ford but don't want to use knock off turbo and the K24 can be had cheap, The 100 s4 guys almost give them away. May be able to find a chip/tune for the K24 and fine tune with a fuel piggyback.
