Quality of HELIX brand?

I’ve priced all of the components to rebuild the head of my newly acquired ‘98 1.8 quattro, it is below of what I actually budgeted. So I started to look around for some other cosmetic and performance components for my project A4…

Anyone familiar with the quality of HELIX brand headlamp assemblies?

Helix?........ Isn't that a little black and white cat? .... or a brand of oil?

Never heard of them, stick with Hella or PIAA I say.

 

if youre talking about headlight housings (not bulbs) then stick with valeo or bosch brand headlights (oem)

 

Are Valeo or Bosch available in black or charcoal housing?

No they are not available in black. I've only seen the InPro ones, which tend to be cheap and leak water.

 

some people have modified their stock headlights and painted the inner housings black
