As you guys know, I've been posting in the last few days and months about accidents and damage to the car.

I found out definitively what's going to happen.

The estimate right now is about $11k to repair the entire car. This includes the $2k or so of damage from door dings, bumper matings, etc.

The guy is going to pop out all the dings out for free. He's REALLY REALLY nice and then respray the affected parts

They're also going to respray, condition and detail the car too wherever there are scratches.

The guy is also doing this with me. They're sending over a detailed list of all the parts they will need and they'lre going to let me go buy the parts used etc so they can save me some cash.

IF YOU GUYS KNOW ANYWHERE TO GET THE LIST OF PARTS THAT I WILL POST, PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

INSURANCE IS NOT COVERING THIS AND I REALLY NEED you guy's help.

Any help in terms of used parts, places to get used parts etc will be greatly appreciated.

Also apparently the tow truck company ****ed up my windshield and it's now cracked so i have to replace that .... what horsecrap

So it's basically like $9k if I can find some of these parts myself (2k of which has nothing to do with this accident)

So I'm grateful for that but the more parts I can find for cheaper - the better it is

 

Why isnt your insurance covering this?? Do you have insurance???

 

My dad had th eingenious idea of taking off collision - so i have everything including roadside, comprehensive, etc but no f*cking collission

i'm suing the other company hoping they'll settle for some of the amt b/c i have pictures and all and witnesses and they got a biased (racist) police report and no pics.

so i have a good case but for now, i gotta pay this ****

the way I do the math is this though. I paid $17k for the car with 11k miles. It has 14k miles now. Let's just say the car is worth $20k - insurance book says $24k.

So $17k + no taxes + $8k for repairs = $25k for the car completely reconditioned with no problems and that still ain't too bad. I'm just trying to keep my chin up.

But I do need you guys' help in getting some parts heh

Id start at a junk yard and go from there. Maybe fax this list around to some local junk yards.

subtract 1348.04 from the total for just the headlights + front bumper

so its 11943.27 - 1348.04 = 10,500

and the more parts i get the cheaper so yay

the splash shields is 191 - i think i can get it for $30

so this is basically what i'm working with so help me out guys

 

shokan doesn't have parts for b6's - shrug

 

they also cut me a great deal - $40 / hour for labor instead of $45

 

 

okay it's not THAT bad lol he pried everything apart to check damage lol
