Default please tell me the A4 wasnt a mistake!

i bought it #1 because i like the a4 always appealed to me. now i have got the bug to mod it because i would like to kick some @$$ every once in awhile. i replaced the snubber with a poly one from NEUSPEED, and replaced the stock quattro springs with H&R Sport springs (man what a difference perfomance and looks!!), i use only Royal Purple in the car, and now will start chipping, and turbo upgrades etc. i just want to make sure im not wasting my money. i see cars like the evo and the sti and thats the peromance i want from my beloved A4!! so please tell me, can i get there is it realistic?

any good Audi perfomance books out there?

btw this all started from watching streetfire.net videos and a few *** kickings i got in the street lately...one today from a 5 year old M5.

btw i have a 2002 audi a4 1.8t quattro with a 5 speed.

It will be VERY hard to make it keep up with an EVO, a stock evo will be no prob but you are going to spend 3500 on a Gt2871rs elim turbo and then from there its just gunna be hard to get more power, you can pretty safely and easily make 350whp ish with that or similar set up but past that is all gunna have to be custom stuff... The evo is a bad *** little race car.. but thats it, the interior is not near as nice but god damn they get up and move and are easy to make even faster

If you got cash you can kill an EVO. A good BT setup and stronger internals will get you there. Also for speed you should realy look into a B5.

Or, you can sell the car and get an S4 with the 2.7T and upgrade from there!

well it sounds like it wasnt a waste. i just need to start focusing on some more mods. i was thinking about an apr turbo setup.

david9999 i think my wife would leave me if i traded in the Audi i just bought 6 months ago. i saw my first RS4 now that i would trade it in on if i could swing it.

chipit and it will be a whole new car. but even then you won't be able to keep up with modded evo's, or sti's. you gotta remember your a4 is heavy. with that added weight comes added luxury tho. fully modded k03 ain't gona get any faster than 14's

thats why i am thinking of going with a big turbo upgrade after doing some research lastnight. weight problem can only be fixed so much. some lighter wheels, maybe some sparco front seats, and a cf or fiberglass hood and rear deck.
